PTC Timber is deeply committed to environmental sustainability, and our practices reflect this commitment throughout our operations:

We hold certifications under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS). These certifications underscore our dedication to responsible forestry and sustainable practices.

We adhere to all applicable legal requirements outlined in the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR), and we are proactively gearing up for the upcoming European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Our pledge includes providing relevant EUTR information to customers, excluding timber with unknown or illegal origins from our supply chain, and planning for future regulatory requirements.

We believe in utilizing every part of the timber, minimizing wastage. By offering a range of by-products like firewood, sawdust, offcuts, and tree barks, we ensure that no part of the timber goes to waste.

Our timber sourcing is exclusively from 100% PEFC certified sustainable forests. This ensures that the timber we use is harvested responsibly, contributing to the long-term health and balance of the ecosystems.

At PTC Timber, we embrace the principles of the circular economy to minimize waste and make the most of our resources. Our approach focuses on reusing, refurbishing, and recycling materials to create a closed-loop system. By adopting circular economy practices, we aim to reduce environmental impact, enhance resource efficiency, and foster sustainability throughout our operations. Our initiatives include repurposing sawdust into high-density charcoal briquets, implementing efficient waste management systems, and continuously exploring innovative ways to extend the life cycle of our products.

Our commitment to social well-being extends beyond our operations to positively impact our workforce and the communities we serve:

We believe that a healthy environment and a safe working place are essential for the efficiency and effectiveness of our company. Our facilities and operations prioritize the well-being and safety of our employees.

We actively engage in inclusive partnerships with producing countries, supporting the global effort to address deforestation. Collaborating with stakeholders, we contribute to the success of transitioning to deforestation-free supply chains.

PTC Timber is committed to actively engaging with local communities, contributing to their well-being, and fostering positive relationships. We believe in creating shared value for our communities.

Our governance practices are founded on principles of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct:

We ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and legal requirements, demonstrating our commitment to ethical business conduct.

Our certifications, including PEFC and MTCS, are a testament to our commitment to high governance standards and responsible business practices.

We believe in transparent communication with our stakeholders. Our reporting practices aim to provide clear and comprehensive information about our operations, commitments, and performance.

At PTC Timber, we uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business. Our governance framework promotes integrity, fairness, and accountability.

As a responsible player in the timber industry, PTC Timber Sdn. Bhd. has been dedicated to upholding the highest standards of sustainability, legality, and transparency.
